Scrum Day Code of Conduct 2019

This code of conduct applies to all attendees

The Collaborative Leadership Team (CLT) is committed to providing a safe and inviting space for our attendees. While attending Scrum day, all attendees must engage in behavior that reflects:

Professionalism

Attendees will conduct themselves in a most professional and ethical manner so as neither to offend nor bring discredit to themselves 

Representation

Attendees will represent themselves truthfully, professionally and in a non-misleading manner 

Professional Responsibility

Attendees will strive to perform professionally and responsibly at all times. 

Solicitation

Scrum Day MN maintains a no-solicitation policy. In order to provide a distraction-free environment for our attendees, we do not allow solicitation during the event. Examples of prohibited solicitation activity include:

  • Unauthorized exhibits

  • Unauthorized recruitment activities

  • Unauthorized promotion of events

  • Unauthorized on-site distribution of printed or electronic materials including literature, signs, flyers, invitations, tickets, forms, etc. (except business cards)

Paid sponsors are exempt from this policy

No harassment of any kind will be tolerated. 

Harassment includes (but is not limited to):

  • intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct;

  • offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, age, religion, political views, technology choices;

  • inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides);

  • deliberate intimidation, stalking or following;

  • harassing photography or recording;

  • sustained disruption of talks or other events;

  • inappropriate physical contact, or unwelcome sexual attention.

Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any situation, including talks, workshops, special events, meetings, and online presentations. Event sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material.

Scrum Day Organizers will enforce this code of conduct throughout the entire event. 

We reserve the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from any activity at any time, without refund of registration fees, at our sole discretion. If an attendee engages in harassing behavior, CLT may take any action it deems appropriate, including reporting to authorities. Egregious and/or multiple violations of this policy may result in disqualification from future events.
